Our fourth Research Training Internship invites teen girls to investigate culture's expectations of them.
Who is the perfect girl? What are the secrets of her success? In Ma'yan's 2012 Research Training Internship for 9th-11th graders, our group of intrepid teens will address these questions by designing a research project. They will have an opportunity to confront assumptions about societal expectations of teen girls and to inject their own voices into a wider conversation about how to deal with these expectations. Participants will learn research skills, public speaking, critical analysis strategies, and collaborative practices.
