Using Art to Make Change: Ma'yan Launches Political Theater Apprenticeship!
Posted
December 1, 2009
Daring to go where few have gone before, NYC Jewish teens girls are beginning to uncovering what they, their friends, their teachers, and complete strangers think about privilege, gender, class, power, money...and what's fair.
Led by puppeteer, performer and director Jenny Romaine, apprentices are learning from a wide array of artists & activists and are working collaboratively on every phase of production from designing and building, to researching, analyzing, scripting, rehearsing and performing.
Mark your calendars for the first public performance: Tuesday, April 13th at 6:30 pm at the JCC in Manhattan.
