An original lecture by Dr. Rachel Mattson

As we begin our research on “Who is served by our community service?”,  we invite you to join the Ma’yan community for a presentation by Dr. Rachel Mattson on the history of community service in the United States as it relates to Jewishness, feminism, and our youth today.

Rachel Mattson earned her PhD in U.S. History from New York University and is currently an Assistant Professor at SUNY New Paltz, where she teaches courses in U.S. history, critical pedagogies, and gender and sexuality.
